Lester's having some misgivings about the girl he's seeing
Last time, Marla asked Lester how things were going with a woman he’s been on a few dates with. It seems to be going well but something’s plaguing his mind.

Marla puts her hand on Lester's shoulder. Both look distressed.
Marla: Whoa, Lester, what's wrong?

Lester holds his head with both hands.
Lester: I dunno! Everything? Nothing? I can't even tell anymore!

Marla's retracts her hand. She looks confused.
Marla: But I thought things were going well with Denise.
Panel 4
Lester and Marla sit on the couch. Lester hands wave in the air in front of him.
Lester: They are, in an objective sense.
Marla: So what's the problem?

Lester pulls his ears down with his hands.
Lester: This is uncharted territory for me!
